About Us
The 150 Mile House Fire Department was formed in 1981 and is a service supported by taxpayers from Electoral Area 'F' of the Cariboo Regional District. Our department provides fire protection and first responder services to the area.
We have dedicated members on our roster including reserve and auxiliary. Our active list consisting of 1 chief and 2 deputy chiefs, captains, lieutenants and firefighters.
Our growing local area has been a huge benefit to our department’s roster and has allowed us to enhance our training. We offer in house NFPA 1001 training and certification to our firefighters. We have several firefighters certified and more currently achieving their certification.
We have had opportunities to aid in provincial responses, during the wildfires in 150 Mile House (2017), Alexis Creek (2010), Lillooet (2009) and Kelowna (2003). Members of our department also spent time in Whistler as part of the fire protection team during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
